Diwrumpola

This is another place where an important event of Ramayana happened. Divurumpola is the place where Sitha Devi took her oath to prove her innocence and purity with ‘Agni Pariksha’. When Sitha Devi plunges into the sacrificial fire, Agni, lord of fire, raised Sitha Devi, preventing any harm proving her innocence. The legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this temple while settling disputes between parties.
